Neb and B-Boy had some great fun for Father's Day.
B-Boy's teachers had a party in the class for all the kids and their dads. Neb went over for the fun, and reported B-Boy was ready to leave as soon as he saw him walk through the door. Yep, just like him to give Neb what he wanted for Father's Day! :)
But Neb stayed, and the teachers served them root beer! (Neb reported that B-Boy wasn't a fan of the root beer, but he enjoyed it!) Those teachers are so creative!
They also had the cutest gifts for the children to give their dads... I must admit I was tempted to "permanetly borrow" them! The teachers selected a photo taken at the parent's picnic of each child. (They picked the one of B-Boy in the fire truck tent, so cute!) They had the kids paint tongue depressors bright colors and glued them to make them a frame that resembled the # symbol. The photo was glued in the center. B-Boy's was a bright blue-green color.
But that's not all! Neb also got a small canvas with B-Boy's handprint in green, sitting on a tiny wood easle. It was absolutley adorable, and Neb loved it.
Meanwhile, back at home, Neb woke to a pancake breakfast, and a big poster on the inside of the front door.
Neb is a hard one to shop for, but I think B-Boy and I did pretty good. Neb's favorite musician, Jackie Greene, had just published a book of his songs for the last 10 years. The book included pictures, lyrics and some stories behind the song. Fun!
All in all, we had a great day! So Happy Father's Day Neb, B-Boy really does have the best daddy ever.
